Double life Claire Jachymiak
Adhex hosts “Double Life” by Claire Jachymiak: revealing the people behind the job
As part of its “Artist at Work” program, Adhex invited photographer Claire Jachymiak for an immersive residency in 2025 within the teams of Adhex Technologies and AdhexPharma in Chenôve (France).
Her project, titled “Double Life,” explores the human dimension of the company through a series of portraits of employees photographed in their professional environment, and beyond.
The artist set out to capture both the job and the person: what drives them, what inspires them, what they are committed to outside of work. 21 employees agreed to share a part of themselves: a talent, an artistic practice, a personal commitment, a parallel activity that sometimes looks like a “second profession,” or simply a passion that fills evenings and weekends.
The aim of the project is to show that behind every industrial, technical, quality, production, support or R&D role, there is a unique story, an individual path, and an identity that cannot be reduced to a job title.
“Double Life” reveals a company carried by diverse, engaged, and often inspiring personalities. The result is both documentary and intimate: a direct, unfiltered look in which we meet people as they are at work, and in what matters to them outside of work.
The exhibition was inaugurated on July 7 at our site in Chenôve, in the presence of the artist and the participating employees. This moment of sharing brought the project to life in the place where it was created, within the company itself.
Beyond its artistic value, the project carries a strong social dimension. By highlighting these “double lives,” it acknowledges the richness of personal identity at work, encourages pride in both professional and personal achievements, and sparks conversation. It is also, very simply, a way to say that industry is made of people.
Adhex would like to thank all participating employees for their trust and openness, and Claire Jachymiak for her sensitive and committed perspective.
