Point de vue ascendant, travail in situ, Daniel Buren

A temporary work by Daniel Buren in Dijon !

Adhex supported the production of Daniel Buren's work "point de vue ascendant, travail in situ", a work in the public space created by the artist in the heart of Dijon, in the garden of the Hôtel de la Thoison, the Burgundian headquarters of the Banque de France.
This off-wall project was produced by the Interface association, regularly supported by Adhex, in partnership with the Banque de France, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Burgundy - Franche-Comté Region, the Côte-d'Or Departmental Council and the City of Dijon.
"Point de vue ascendant, travail in situ" follows the focus of the viewer's gaze from the rue des Godrans, in continuity with the typically Burgundian motif on the glazed tiles.
The structure extends over 35 metres, sloping in line with the roof of the 17th-century Hôtel de la Thoison.
The original pattern of interlocking lozenges is combined with Daniel Buren's vocabulary of alternating bands and solid colours, creating a new harmony.
